Get ready for the Season!
There is something special about this time of year in southwest Ohio. The long days of summer are beginning to shorten, the first hints of fall color are appearing in the trees, and Friday-night lights are coming back on across the area. College football is gearing up, the pros are returning to the field, and before long we will be enjoying those crisp autumn afternoons that seem tailor-made for taking the Corvette out for a drive.
And there is still plenty of Corvette season left!
The coming weeks are a great time to get out, enjoy the cars, spend some time with friends, and take part in everything the Greater Dayton Corvette Club has planned. Whether it is a cruise, club meeting, car show, social gathering, Corvette & Coffee, or simply another excuse to put a few miles on the odometer, we hope to see plenty of familiar faces—and some new ones—along the way.
Fall driving has a character all its own. Cooler temperatures, changing leaves, winding Ohio roads, and a Corvette underneath you make a pretty good combination. Add good friends and a destination at the end of the road, and it gets even better.
So don’t put the Corvette away just yet!
Keep an eye on the GDCC Club Calendar for upcoming activities throughout the late summer and fall season. Pick an event—or better yet, pick several—and come join us. Some of the best club memories aren’t necessarily made at the biggest events; they’re made during the conversations in the parking lot, the unexpected stops along a cruise, and the miles traveled together getting there.
Whether you’re cheering under the Friday-night lights, watching your favorite college team on Saturday, settling in for the pros on Sunday, or enjoying a beautiful fall afternoon behind the wheel, this is a terrific time of year to be out and about.
